What this is
A client's large personal-finance platform, described with every identifying detail removed. We are the technology partner. We build the parts that gather a person's financial data safely, turn it into useful insight, and keep the whole thing secure and compliant while it grows. The product itself, the advice it offers, and the licences to offer that advice all belong to the client. So this page is only about the engineering, because that is our side of the work.
The architecture, from consented data to insight
A person's money sits across many banks, funds and accounts. The platform's value is in bringing that together and making sense of it, but only ever with the person's clear permission. The data flows in a straight line, and every step is built to be safe:
Consent first, and data handled with care
The platform gathers data through India's Account Aggregator framework, the regulated way for a person to share their own financial information with a service they trust. Nothing is pulled without a clear, specific permission from the person, and that permission can be as narrow as it needs to be. On top of that we apply the ordinary discipline of good data engineering: encrypt everything, keep only what is genuinely needed, and hold it in line with India's data protection law. The person stays in control of their own information, which is exactly how it should be.
The analytics engine, and the discipline behind the AI
Once the data is clean and unified, the analytics engine turns it into things a person can act on: a clear view of spending, of savings, of how goals are tracking. Putting machine learning into a product that people rely on is not just about training a model once. The real work is keeping it honest over time:
- Models are watched in production, so we notice when the world shifts and the model needs attention.
- Changes are tested against the current version before they ship, never assumed to be better.
- Outputs are checked for bias, so the platform treats different people fairly.
- Every model is versioned, so we can roll back cleanly the moment something looks off.
None of this is glamorous, and all of it is what separates an AI demo from an AI feature people can depend on.
Compliance and security, built in rather than bolted on
A regulated fintech at scale carries real obligations, and the technology has to make them easy to meet rather than something people fight against. So compliance and security are part of the build from day one:
- The rules of the Account Aggregator framework and India's data protection law are enforced in the platform itself.
- Machine learning also helps on the defensive side, flagging patterns that look like fraud.
- Access is controlled and logged, so who saw what, and when, is always answerable.
- A full audit trail means any review has a clear, complete record to work from.
The testing a platform this size needs
When a lot of people trust a system with their financial lives, the quality bar is not negotiable. Data is checked for accuracy and reconciled, because a wrong number here is not a cosmetic bug. The platform is monitored so problems are caught early, and capacity is planned ahead of demand so it stays fast and steady as it grows. The aim throughout is a system that is calm and predictable, no surprises, even under load.
What it demonstrates
This is enterprise-grade fintech engineering: consent-first data aggregation, a genuine AI pipeline with the operational discipline to keep it trustworthy, and the security and compliance a regulated platform lives by, all built to scale. The client owns the product, the advice, and every registration behind it. We build the technology. It is the same standard we bring to the AI and analytics work and the wider software we build for other clients.
This is an anonymised account of client work. The client's identity and product details have been removed. We build technology. We do not provide investment advice, we do not make financial recommendations, and any advice offered inside the product belongs to the client, who holds the registrations for it.
