MetaTrader 4 and 5 development
MetaTrader is where much of the forex world trades, and its Expert Advisors (EAs) can run a strategy around the clock. We write EAs, indicators and scripts in MQL4 and MQL5 to your rules, port MT4 code to MT5, and build bridges when your strategy needs to reach a broker MetaTrader cannot connect to.

What we build on MetaTrader
- Expert Advisors that run your strategy, with lot sizing, maximum spread checks, trading-hours filters and loss limits.
- Custom indicators and scripts, including ports from TradingView.
- MT4 to MT5 ports. MQL5 is a different language, and MT5 accounts can be netting or hedging, so a port is a careful rewrite rather than a copy.
- Bridges and rewrites beyond MetaTrader. Some brokers, Interactive Brokers among them, do not offer MetaTrader. We move the strategy into software that trades there directly.
The MetaTrader-specific engineering
- Testing on real ticks. MT5’s Strategy Tester can replay real tick data. We use it, with your broker’s spreads and commissions, rather than trusting a test built on modelled prices.
- Spread, slippage and requotes around news and the daily rollover, handled in code rather than hoped away.
- Staying on. An EA only trades while its terminal runs, so it needs a server that stays up, and it has to recover its state after a restart.
- Python alongside MT5 when your research lives in Python: MT5 has an official Python package that can read data and send orders through a running terminal.
More on forex automation
Our guide to building a forex EA for MT5 walks through the build, and the forex automation page covers the market side. If your broker offers cTrader instead, see cTrader development. Not sure whether to stay on MetaTrader at all? Read MetaTrader or a custom API system.
We build software that runs your strategy. We don’t supply strategies or signals, we don’t manage money, and we make no claim about how any strategy performs. The rules and every trading decision stay yours.
Common questions
- Can you convert my MT4 Expert Advisor to MT5?
- Yes. MQL5 differs from MQL4 in how orders and positions work, and MT5 accounts can be netting or hedging, so we rewrite the EA rather than copy it, then test both versions side by side on the same data.
- Can my MetaTrader strategy trade at Interactive Brokers?
- Not through MetaTrader itself, because IBKR does not offer it. We rebuild the strategy as software that connects to the IBKR API directly, and check that its signals match the original EA.
- Do you sell Expert Advisors?
- No. We build your strategy into an EA. We don’t sell, license or recommend EAs, strategies or signals.
